July 31: Carlos Y Charlos – traditional polkas, waltzes, classic norteño
Bio: Carlos y Charlos are two Los Angeles county born multi instrumentalists, Juan Carlos Reynoso (bajo sexto, first voice) and Charles De Castro (diatonic accordion, 2nd voice) who initially came together to play just for fun, the songs they love from idols of Norteño like Los Alegres de Terán and Carlos y José to Texas accordion legends like Santiago Jimenez Sr. and Narciso Martinez. Their blend of traditional polkas, waltzes and classic norteño repertoire seemed to light up a party and cheer people up.
August 7: Jonathan Stout Trio – swing, jazz
Bio: Bandleader Jonathan Stout has been a world-renowned swing dance bandleader, and swing-guitar expert for over 20 years, and his trio will transport you back to the Swing-era with its mix of clarinet, guitar, bass, and vocals. Expect to hear the sounds of Benny Goodman, and songs by Irving Berlin and Duke Ellington, with both standards and deep cuts from the 1930's and 1940's.
August 21: June Clivas & The Ditty Boys – americana, rockabilly, cowpunk
BIO: June Clivas and the Ditty Boys are a local SGV favorite, playing originals, and your classic favorites from Johnny Cash to Hank Williams. Bring your Western wear, JCDB will provide the music soundtrack.
September 11: Upstream – reggae, calypso, soca steel drum
BIO: Upstream has been spreading their message of love and positivity through their exhilarating Caribbean music, namely, Reggae, Calypso, SO-kah (Soca), and Steel Pan Music, for quite some time now.
With a multi-talented line up of seasoned Musician’s from the twin Island of Trinidad & Tobago, Belize, St. Thomas Virgin Islands, and the U.S., they continue to spread joy to everyone they meet!
