LA Arboretum Daily Admission Tickets

EXTENDED HOURS: 9 am to 7 pm (Last Entry 6:30 pm)

Member Early Access: 7:30 am

 

Attention Visitors: The LA Arboretum will be closing early on select Saturdays throughout Summer 2026 for the Pasadena Pops concert series.

At the Arboretum, we want to share the garden with as many visitors as possible. To do so, we offer these programs that provide free admission: 

  • EBT Card – Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders are eligible for up to two (2) adults and four (4) children free daytime garden admissions for (children under 18 years of age). No reservations or online tickets are required. Just present your EBT card and photo ID with matching name at the entrance.
  • American Horticultural Society (AHS) reciprocal admissions program (free with member card) with exceptions of Descanso Gardens, South Coast Botanic Garden, and California Botanic Garden (90-mile exclusion).
  • Summer Beat Program for Teens and Youth –From now through Labor Day, teens ages 13-18 with valid student ID can enjoy free summer admission to the Arboretum. (Teacher and active/veteran military Free through Labor Day with valid ID).

No online ticket/reservation required for EBT, Reciprocal Members, or other free ticket programs.   

Garden Etiquette & Rules

The Los Angeles Arboretum is a museum of living plants and welcomes visitors to make their experience enjoyable, interesting, and memorable. During a visit we ask guests to be good stewards of our plants, wildlife, and historic structures to protect them for future generations to enjoy. By entering, ticket holders voluntarily assume all risks and liabilities associated with their visit.

While at the Arboretum, we ask that guests please observe the following:

  • Do not collect, remove, or damage any natural materials including seeds, flowers, fruits, feathers, plant labels or other garden materials.
  • No Pets. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome.
  • No outside food allowed in. (Non-alcoholic beverages/Drinks ok)
  • Climbing trees or swimming in water features is not permitted.
  • No Smoking in the Arboretum or LA County grounds. Smoking/vaping is not permitted in the gardens.
  • Recreational equipment such as bicycles, skateboards, scooters, sports equipment, barbeques, radios, instruments, lawn chairs and coolers are not permitted.
  • No Balloons or flying drones in the gardens. No remote control toys or large toys in general.
  • No balls, buckets, baskets, shovels, bubbles, etc. Anything that can harm the plants or animals.
  • Musical instruments are not permitted. Music in general should be listened to with headphones, not on speakers or phones at a loud volume.
  • Children under 18 must always be accompanied and supervised by an adult/guardian.

All ticket sales are final. If you miss your scheduled visit date/time and the tickets were not used for entry; online tickets are redeemable and can be used for entry from up to one year from date of purchase. No reschedule required. Special events excluded.

Photography

Members and visitors are encouraged to take photos while visiting the Los Angeles County Arboretum. A permit is required for all posed and formal photography (portrait photography).
