Join us for an afternoon of painting with locally made botanical inks and sipping herbal teas at The Arboretum, with artist Janne Larsen. This workshop is designed as a relaxing afternoon that slowly unfolds in the garden, guided by color, plants, and conversation. Participants paint with a palette of native pigments made from California plants, exploring over 20 natural ink colors while creating a series of four native plant postcards. The experience is complemented by herbal teas brewed from locally grown California plants, with the opportunity to experiment with and create a bespoke tea blend tailored to your own taste, deepening a personal relationship to flavor, scent, and place. Together, native pigments and teas create a quiet, restorative gathering that celebrates the garden as a space for nourishment, creativity, and connection to the land.
