Families are invited to gather for a special summer gathering beneath the shady oaks for a gentle morning of stories, songs, and connection. Together, we’ll create simple hand-kites using foraged sticks, beeswax, silk, and cotton—perfect for catching the breeze at the beach or dancing through a summer garden.
 
 
Day Of Details:
-The event will take place at the Learning Patio, which has its own private entrance adjacent to Ayres Hall in the north end of our main parking lot.
-Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to event start time.
-Weekends can be busy, so please plan enough time to find parking and walk to event location.

 

This special workshop is an extension of Acorns & Oaks, the Arboretum’s parent-child education series designed to nurture connection between caregivers and little ones. The experience will also include musical circle time and a nature walk through the gardens.
