Taste the Garden: A Culinary & Botanical Journey
Why does rosemary evoke such powerful memories, and how did a single dried berry come to shape centuries of global trade?
Celebrate the harvest season with Taste the Garden, a sensory walking tour that bridges the gap between botanical history and the kitchen table. Together, we’ll wander through our living collection to explore what’s in season and discover the fascinating botany, rich folklore, and timeless histories behind iconic culinary plants—from the fragrant leaves of ancient rosemary to the warm, complex flavor of allspice.
Along the path, you’ll discover the captivating origins of everyday flavors, hear the stories embedded in these historic species, and sample tasty bites made from the very plants you’ll meet.
Come hungry for knowledge—and celebrate the abundance of the season!
